What level of education do you have?

I read for a University degree in Mechanical Engineering manager

How did you get in to tech/coding?

I started 8 years ago with attending classes at an International IT-University, then got my first job as a junior software testing engineer.

Have you always had an interest in coding/tech?

Yes, I was always passionate about technologies and ’breaking’ the flow.

What would you say is the best thing about your tech-life?

Primarily, I have the opportunity to grow and discover something new every day. Secondly, I am blessed to be around the most talented people who are so passionate and knowledgeable, who I’ve had the opportunity to learn so much from. Also, tech life at Hero Gaming is such good fun. From, learning to daring, having fun is also always on our agenda!

Would you say that equality is high within Hero Gaming and your team?

We have respect for all colleagues in Hero Gaming, regardless of their gender.

Do you think it’s a struggle to be a woman in the tech world? (like stereotypes and so on)

Not really, I strongly believe that if one is professional is the person, then gender doesn’t matter.

What do you think would make more young girls/women choose a career in tech and/or coding?

I think Tech companies need to promote the idea more, for example, have open days for girls from school and show how we work in daily life, also create fun activities for young girls to attend to so that they can see to themselves which hopefully would help them feel more comfortable and be integrated easier.

How have you been received as a woman in such a male dominated field?

It was not really hard for me to integrate to tech society, most people I’ve worked with in my tech life, were really nice and helped me to integrate faster.

Which tech-role do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years’ time?

I think the role itself doesn’t make any difference, I want to make sure that wherever I am, I can develop my skills and grow as a expert in the tech field with nice and helpful colleagues around. The goal in the end is happiness and fulfilment!
