As part of Hero Gaming’s strategy to be a socially accountable and responsible iGaming Operator, this year we have organized various activities during the Responsible Gambling Week which runs from 7th to 13th November 2019. Responsible Gambling Week is a campaign which started in 2017 and is led by the Industry Group For Responsible Gambling (IGRG) that aims to create a conversation about responsible safer gambling.
We ran two inhouse Social Responsibility and Interaction – Level 2 workshops with a trainer from GamCare for our Customer Support, Fraud & Payments, Compliance and Commercial Teams where in order to further equip our heroes with additional skills so they can further understand individual and organizational responsibility for responsible gambling, understand how to identify problem gambling and be able to conduct brief interventions.
During Responsible Gambling Week we also ran company-wide regulatory Responsible Gambling Online Courses via our Hero Gaming Compliance Academy which is powered by SMP Compliance Academy. The content of these courses were provided by Nordic Gambling.
Our team also attended workshops, Q&As and training sessions organized by ComeOn, GiG, iGEN, Kindred and the Malta Gaming Authority as part of Responsible Gambling Week 2019 in Malta. This cross-industry initiative was aimed at promoting safer gambling and facilitating RG professionals in sharing their RG knowledge and best practices.

Participating in Responsible Gambling Week is just a small part of our Responsible Gambling efforts and further emphasizes our ongoing commitment to create more awareness internally about responsible and safer gambling.
